Located in the constellation Orion is the arc shaped nebula known as LBN878 (aka Barnard 35). The nebula predominately consists of dust and hydrogen emission characteristics however also present is the reflection nebula GN05.42.6 that surrounds the spectral type G3Iav star. The star is mostly white with a hint of yellow. Due to the interstellar reddening effect of the dust, the reflection nebula presents a strong yellow glow making for a colourful scene. Image is a L[HA+R]GB composite. |
