RCW75 (aka Gum48a) is a HII region that surrounds and is ionised by a young star cluster known as Stock 16, which is part of the Centaurus (Cen) OB1 association. Stock 16 lies at the end of the "elephant trunk" shaped molecular cloud. It is believed the region is connected to the huge and diffuse m Cen nebula.
