         Object IC5146 - Cocoon Nebula
Comment The Cocoon Nebula (IC5146) is located in the constellation Cygnus and resides 4,000 light years away. This remarkable nebula is intriguing in that it has emission, reflection and absorption characteristics due to dust particles in the region. The nebula is also a stellar nursery harbouring an open star cluster containing approximately 80 young stars in which some can be partly seen through the folds of nebulosity.
